The Woods Humane Society is offering a reduced adoption fee for all animals in time for Christmas as part of its “Home for the Holidays” adoption program.
Adoption fees for all pets have been reduced from $65 to $200, down from the normal range of $25. The $31 dog license fee is not included in the promotion.
“Pets bring so much joy, laughter, love and friendship to the home,” Woods CEO Emily L. Heuric said in a statement, “and nothing says ‘home’ like the warm greeting of a beloved dog or cat.” And the tail wags.. We can’t think of a better holiday gift to give this community than to lower the barriers to adopting a best friend this season.
According to the press release, the adoption center currently has 76 animals open for adoption at two locations in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero.
The shelters are open for adoptions daily from 12pm to 4pm and are closed on Christmas Day, December 25th.
