Video: Husky breaks free from cage to save pets, makes a mess during midnight snack

TAMPA (WFLA) – On November 16, 2023, a police officer in Tempe, Arizona responded to a different kind of attempted break-out.

A video shared by Lost Our Home Pet Rescue, a non-profit that specializes in housing pets while their owners get back on their feet, successfully frees them from their cages. He is shown trying to free his friends before causing quite a mess after the incident.

After the dog got out of its cage around 12:50 p.m., it clawed at the cages of some other rescue pets. When he failed to free his furry friends, the clever pet managed to open the door and knock over a box of food for a late-night snack.

During his daring escape, Husky triggered the shelter alarm, alerting Tempe police. Surveillance video shows police have 24/7 access to the rescue to drop off any pets in need.

The responding officer located the dog and placed it back in its pen before cleaning up the dog food mess.
