• This is quite a pair! ABC’s Golden Bachelor and Best Friends Animal Society is right here in Utah. Patrick Theobald sat down with Best Friends this morning to talk with us about this unique partnership and how it’s helping our state’s senior animals, including the twenty-two-pound senior cat Maple Syrup. Everyone fell in love on our set this morning.
    • Theobald says the bachelors came to Best Friends and said they wanted to help adopt senior pets, and as part of that, any animal over the age of six would be adopted throughout the month. The collection fee is waived. Today is the last day of the promotion.
    • “Kittens and puppies are so cute, everyone loves them and they get adopted really quickly. Sometimes senior pets get overlooked, because they’re a little older, and They may have some health issues later in life. But they’re past the training stage. They’re not going to chew up your furniture, they know their way around your house and they’re ready to go home and you. ready to spend their years with,” says Theobald.
    • Adoptions are now available at our Life Saving Center at 2005 South 1100 East. Open daily 12:00-6:00. And don’t forget to watch The Golden Bachelor finale tonight on ABC4.
