All pets adopted from the shelter from December 15th to December 23rd came with the promise of hand delivery on Christmas morning.
The goal of the “Home for the Holidays” campaign is to make it so that every animal in the animal society’s care has a home at Christmas. The campaign is in partnership with Hendrick Charleston.
Joe Elmore, president and CEO of the Charleston Animal Society, said the campaign brings joy to those who choose to adopt.
“Seeing the smiles on children’s faces when our elves show up with a kitten, puppy, dog or cat — that’s what makes ‘Home for the Holidays’ so special,” Elmore said.
