Butter cup

gender boy

Age: 4 years

Weight: 8 pounds

Species: Cat

Breed: Domestic Shorthair – Orange/White Tabby

Orphaned Since: January 9

Adoption Fee: $50

Buttercups hold a special place in SPCA Florida’s hearts. He lived with other community cats outside of the adoption center his entire life. Staff and volunteers fed him, gave him lots of treats and sheltered him outside. Then one day, when the back door opened, he strolled in to join the other adoptable cats on the screened-in patio. He had been sticking his paw through the bars to play with them for years and was finally comfortable enough to join them. Buttercup is still a bit shy around strangers but enjoys petting and even sitting on the laps of those he trusts. He still craves the outdoors and will climb or claw through screens, so he will need to be watched. He loves other cats, and has become best friends with Lorena, another SPCA Florida adoptable cat. If you have room in your heart for two cats, the adoption fee for the second will be waived. You can meet them both at Tinker’s Legacy Cattery at SPCA Florida. But find out more about these two lovelies. www.spcaflorida.org.
