Aloha kakou. My name is Velma, and I am this week’s Pet of the Week at the Maui Humane Society. I got my name because of the patches on my eyes. They look like glass. I’m no Scooby-Doo, but I have a mystery to solve. The mystery is why I haven’t been adopted yet. The only clue I have is that maybe my forever family hasn’t found me. Maybe I’m Pet of the Week to get their attention. I am a very good girl who loves long walks and naps. I am potty trained, a good girl at home and kisses are my favorite activity. Sometimes I can be a bit shy around new people, but with some love and treatment I will be your best friend. So what do you say? Want help solving your mystery? Come and take me.

* The Pet of the Week is a weekend feature presented by the Maui Humane Society to promote adoptions at the Maui Animal Shelter and Adopton Center.
