The Pets of the Week at Burke County Animal Services are as follows:

Heavy Machinery: This beautiful wide load is ready for his forever home. Heavy machinery is good with people of all ages and loves attention. He has enjoyed meeting other dogs at the shelter. Come get this snuggle boy and he can help you stay warm!

McLovekins: This beautiful girl can’t wait to go on her next adventure with her new family. She is great with other dogs and doesn’t mind cats. She likes to go for walks and likes to be with people.

Gemstones: This sweet girl is looking for her forever home. The gem is about a year old. She is cat friendly and loves treats. Gem is doing well in her foster home but would love her own home.

K-36: This ridiculously cute cross-eyed boy is ready for his forever family. He is good with other cats and gets along well with dogs. He loves treats and can’t wait to curl up on the couch and take naps.

Burke County Animal Services Located at 425 Kirksey Drive in Morganton. Adoption fees are $20 for cats and $40 for dogs, which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine and other immunizations. Veterans are allowed to adopt pets for free with military ID.

Animal Services is currently in need of food donations for its Community Pet Food Bank, which goes to help pets in need. Donations can be mailed or mailed to Burke County Animal Services at 425 Kirksey Drive, Morganton, NC 28655.
