Pet of the Week: Bruce, Finger Lakes SPCA

(WETM) — Today’s Pet of the Week is a very nice boy. Finger Lakes SPCA.

Bruce is an adult dog who comes from a difficult situation, and needs a family to help him recover. The poor boy and his three siblings were rescued three weeks ago by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office. All the dogs were malnourished, and Bruce was doing the worst. Shelter staff are hopeful that Bruce will make a full recovery and become a great boy with the help of his forever home.

Bruce hopes his new family will help him grow bigger and stronger so his great personality can shine through. This boy is very curious, energetic and active. Bruce hopes to play and go on many adventures with his new family as they help him get better.

This sweet boy is fine with other dogs, but shelter staff aren’t sure how he feels about cats. If you would like to give Bruce a loving home, you can visit the Finger Lakes SPCA or call 607-776-3039.

Bruce and the staff at the Finger Lakes SPCA are asking everyone to consider how much it costs to feed a dog before adopting. If you’re having trouble getting pet food, it’s okay to ask local shelters or dog rescues for help. The Finger Lakes SPCA’s food pantry is open Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
