That leave our shelters alive.
For our Pets of the Month, we’re excited to feature two cats, bonded sisters Bop and Buttons!
The story of Bop and Buttons
Bop and Buttons have been together their entire lives since being brought into the Operation Pets Alive foster program at 7 months old. They are kept up to date on immunizations and protected. They also recently celebrated their second birthday in December!
He was previously adopted and lived with his new family for about 6 months before being returned in early 2023, due to a family member’s allergies. His previous owners noted that he was very loving, friendly and sociable.
Thankfully, Bop and Buttons were able to rejoin their previous foster family and are enjoying life while they await their new forever home. Their foster mother has this to say about the two girls:
“Bop loves to play with all the feather and ball toys, but her favorite is chasing the laser. She loves to sit on the windowsill and watch the birds and squirrels. She’s curious and loves to follow you around. She enjoys naps on your lap and hanging out with her sister Button. She loves playing with water and will sit next to you at the sink. She is so cute when she is lazy. And sits on your lap and chirps. She has a unique color – a light brown tabby with an orange ring around her neck. She is very exotic and has round black spots on her sides.
“Sweet Buttons is a lot of fun. She loves to play, loves her toys and is very affectionate. She also spends time watching birds and squirrels from the window. She gets along well with other cats. and loves to play with her bestie, Bop. Buttons is a laid-back girl who follows you around while you work from home, hangs out in your clothes, or sleeps next to you. She’s a great friend. Kind of a girl.”
