Paulding County woman wanted for pet insurance fraud

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced that Amanda Lindley, 39, of Dallas, has been charged with 48 counts of insurance fraud and forgery.

Between January 2019 and December 2022, Ms. Lindley submitted 48 claims under her pet health insurance policy, advising the insurance company that her dog received care from several animal clinics in Atlanta.

“Upon investigation, our special agents confirmed that Ms. Lindley changed the date and cost of the procedure on each invoice,” Commissioner King said. “The suspect altered several receipts to reflect more money than was charged and initiated several claims for trips that never occurred. In total, he received approximately $45,000 in false claims.

In addition to her fraudulent claims, Ms. Lindley used fake receipts on a web-based donation site to obtain additional payments from sympathetic citizens. A warrant was issued against Ms Lindley on 10 January 2024. They are wanted right now. Our office is working with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office on this investigation.
