Meet Koda and Magnolia! News19’s Pets of the Week

(WHNT) — Pets all over the Tennessee Valley are looking for a home and this week we’re featuring two adorable dogs looking for a place to call their own.

First up is Magnolia! This beautiful girl has a curly tail and the staff at Florence Lauderdale Animal Services thinks she looks like a livestock guardian dog.

She can be shy and timid but is always sweet. Magnolia loves toys and was playful with the male dog. The shelter said she behaves very gently and usually gently asks for a little affection. Staff said they believe he is about two years old and weighs about 75 pounds.

If you are interested in adopting Magnolia, you can meet her at Florence Lauderdale Animal Services located at 3240 Roberson Road in Florence or call the shelter at (256) 760-6676.

Next up is Coda! Koda currently resides at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society (GHHS) after coming to the shelter with her brother, Jack, who was recently adopted.

Staff say he is a very loving and affectionate six-year-old boy. He is a bit of a teddy bear and loves to get a lot of attention. Koda recently tested positive for heartworm but is starting his meds and should be able to clear up after a few months of regular treatment, the shelter said.

The folks at GHHS said the Koda would probably work best in a low-energy home that can keep it level and owners who are open to going on a leash.

If you are interested in adopting or promoting Coda, you can visit the GHHS website. Here
