Marco can ‘dead play’. Bandit loves a treat.

JACKSON, MI – Marco and Bandit are just two of many pets. Cascades Humane Society Who are looking for loving forever homes.

Marco is a silly, cute and super smart 1 year old mix breed. He is a favorite of the CHS staff, who have already taught him to “sit,” “down,” “place” and “play dead.” He is a quick learner, very eager to please and will be a dream to train further.

Marco loves spending time with other dogs, chewing on bones and playing outside. Marco is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms.

This is Bandit, a 1-year-old male cat ready to steal your heart. Her amazing pink nose and adorable chirp make her irresistible.

Bandit likes to walk around confidently, tail held high, looking for treats – his absolute favorite. He is equally content to bat on toys or be pampered with a brush.

This laid-back, social guy has experience with children and other cats, although dogs make him a bit nervous. With a gradual introduction to a feline friend canine, he can make a new furry friend.

Bandit has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. If you’re looking for a feline companion, a bandit might be your perfect match.

If you think Marco or Daco could be your next perfect, furry family member (or members), please stop by for a visit. Cascades Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Drive, is open Tuesday to 6 p.m.

All dogs and cats at Cascade Humane Society are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed prior to adoption. People who adopt pets receive a free wellness checkup from any of 24 area veterinarians.

Dog owners wishing to adopt another dog need to meet and greet their dog and the dog they are choosing to adopt.

CHS has also added services to its Spay and Neuter Assistance Program. This service, available during scheduled spay or neuter surgeries, includes vaccines, heartworm testing for dogs, FIV and FeLV testing for cats and dental procedures.

CHS also has a pet food pantry to help families experiencing financial hardship. CHS accepts donations of cat or dog food, as long as the food is in its original packaging. Donors can drop off food at the pole barn behind the facility. The pet food pantry is open on the first Saturday of the month from noon to 2 p.m.
