3/4 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 large egg

2 tablespoons of peanut butter

2 tablespoons of oil

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

2 tablespoons of honey

For the frosting

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Line a 6-inch round cake pan (or 9×5-inch bread pan) with parchment paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, peanut butter, oil, applesauce, egg, and honey.

4. Mix the ingredients until well combined.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

6. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. Let cake cool completely before frosting.

8. To make the frosting, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.

9. Once the cake has cooled, frost it as desired with whipped cream frosting.

10. Optionally, double the frosting recipe and break the cake by cutting it in half horizontally to make a 2-layer cake.

11. Store the frosted cake in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
