Humane Society of Missouri Pets for Adoption

Bayonetta. is a 1-year-old Labrador retriever mix who arrived at the Humane Society of Missouri’s Macland Avenue headquarters in September. He is incredibly gentle and has some of the best ears in the shelter.

Pet of the week: Cochise

something is a 16-year-old mule who came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in November. Cochise is sticky, strong and loves to be cuddled. He went to a mule trainer for 90 days and spent a lot of time working the ground and was started under saddle. Because he is a mule, Cochise is stubborn and can have a mind of his own. He will need an experienced mule handler to own.

to adopt • Call Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in Union at 636-583-8759 for an interview.

Pet of the week: Blu

Blow is a 1-year-old German Shepherd. He was a stray at the Humane Society of Missouri’s Maryland Heights shelter in early December. He’s an active dog that would benefit from some reward-based training classes to get his basic manners down. HSMO recommends a home with older children for Blu, as he doesn’t know his size and will likely knock over smaller children.

to adopt • Call Best Buddy Pet Center in Maryland Heights at 314-951-1588, or visit hsmo.org/adopt.

Last week’s pets • A duck named Harmony is still available. Dogs named Telluride and Jack have been adopted.
